TERMS & CONDITIONS — Paris Like a Parisian

1. PURPOSE

These General Terms and Conditions govern the rights and obligations of Paris Like a Parisian and its clients in the provision of tourism services, including but not limited to guided tours, excursions, private experiences, tailor-made itineraries and concierge-style activities.

2. ACCEPTANCE OF THE TERMS

By making a booking with Paris Like a Parisian, the client fully and unconditionally accepts these Terms and Conditions.

3. BOOKINGS & PAYMENT

Bookings may be made online, by email, by WhatsApp, or by telephone.
A 30% deposit is required to secure the reservation for individual clients.

Payments may be made by credit card, bank transfer or cash.

4. PAYMENT TERMS

A. Standard tours (individual clients)

For classic walking tours in Paris and out-of-Paris getaways operated directly by Paris Like a Parisian, the remaining balance may be paid at the end of the tour, unless otherwise specified.

This applies only to tours that:
• Do not involve external suppliers
• Do not require advance purchases
• Are delivered entirely by Paris Like a Parisian

B. Tailor-made services, travel planning & concierge services

For any service requiring advance preparation, itinerary design, travel planning, or reservations, full payment is required before the client’s arrival in Paris.

This includes (non-exhaustive list):
• Tailor-made itineraries
• Travel planning
• Concierge services
• Restaurant, museum or activity reservations
• Drivers and private transportation
• Personal shopping tours
• Fashion stylist sessions
• Photography sessions
• Artistic, cultural or wellness workshops
• Any curated or custom experience requiring advance work

No service will be booked or confirmed until full payment is received.

C. Third-party services & suppliers

Any service subcontracted or prepaid by Paris Like a Parisian on the client’s behalf must be paid 100% in advance.

This includes:
• Drivers, chauffeurs, transfers
• Restaurants requiring deposits
• Museum tickets and entries
• Stylists, workshops, designers
• External guides or experts
• Any service requiring prepayment

Once confirmed, such bookings may be non-refundable, depending on the provider’s policy.

D. Groups, agencies & B2B clients

For travel agencies, institutions, corporate clients and group bookings:

• A 50% deposit is required to confirm the service
• The remaining 50% must be paid no later than 7 days before the service
• 100% prepayment may be required for services involving significant third-party costs
• Payment terms may be adapted depending on partnership agreements and volume
• Invoices include detailed VAT in accordance with EU regulations

For last-minute group bookings (less than 7 days before the service):
• Full prepayment is required

5. PRICES

Prices are listed in Euros (€) and include only the services explicitly described.
They do not include personal expenses, meals, tastings, transportation (unless specified), insurance or optional add-ons.

Credit card payments may be processed in the client’s currency depending on the provider.

International Credit Card Payments

Payments made with non-European credit cards (Visa, MasterCard or American Express issued outside the EU) may incur an additional processing fee of 3%, corresponding to the charges applied by the payment provider.
This applies to all transactions, including deposits and remaining balances paid before or after the service.

6. CANCELLATION POLICY

A. Cancellation by the client

• 30 days or more before the service: 15% fee
• 15 to 7 days before the service: 30% fee
• 7 to 1 day before the service: 100% fee

Same-day cancellations or no-shows are non-refundable.

B. Modification requests

Changes are subject to availability.
Requests made less than 48 hours before the service may be refused.

C. Cancellation by the company

In cases of force majeure (extreme weather, strikes, illness, safety issues, unavailability of staff), the company will offer:
• A postponement, or
• A full refund of the amounts paid

No additional compensation may be claimed.

7. LIABILITY

Paris Like a Parisian provides services with professionalism and care.
However, the company cannot be held liable for:
• Accidents, delays or damages caused by third parties
• Weather conditions, strikes, or site closures
• Client negligence or failure to follow instructions
• Loss or theft of personal belongings

Clients remain responsible for their own safety and property.

8. INSURANCE

Professional Liability Insurance (RC Pro)

Paris Like a Parisian complies with French legal requirements regarding professional liability insurance for tourism and concierge services.

(When your RC Pro is obtained, we can simply add the policy reference beneath this line.)

9. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All texts, photos, itineraries, descriptions and branding provided by Paris Like a Parisian are protected by intellectual property law.
Any reproduction or use without written authorization is prohibited.

10. PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION (GDPR)

Personal data collected during the booking process is handled in compliance with GDPR.
Clients may request access, correction or deletion of their data by contacting:

Data is never sold and is shared only when necessary to deliver the service.

11. DISPUTES

In case of dispute, an amicable resolution will be sought first.
If no agreement is reached, the competent jurisdiction shall be that of the company’s registered office, unless mandatory legal rules apply.
